Michael Makeshift is a chronic loser whose life has just taken a turn for the worse. His mother is driving him crazy, his finacee hasn't called him in six months and he's been attending every self-help meeting in town just for company. But when con-man brother Reggie shows up with his very beautiful, very unconscious bride Valerie - and a scheme which he promises will make them all very rich - Michael's life takes a turn he never expected. Reggie's "legitimate deal" soon has everyone running from his corrupt but inept business partners - with the police not far behind. Countless double deals, triple-crosses, triple-crosses and misunderstandings later, Valerie and Michael discover that they are two misfits who are meant for each other - despite the fact that they are already in-laws!
